Patients of Garnet Health who had a MyChart account at any time between May 7, 2020, and Aug. 10, 2023, may be eligible to claim a $19.50 cash payment and/or one year of privacy monitoring services from a class action settlement.

Garnet Health agreed to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging its use of third-party tracking technologies, such as Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, on its website violated certain privacy laws.

Who can file a claim?

Individuals must meet all of the following criteria:

  • They were a patient of Garnet Health at any time from May 7, 2020, through Aug. 10, 2023.
  • They had a MyChart account with a status of "alive" during that period.

How much can class members get?

Eligible class members may claim one or both of the following benefits:

  • Cash payment: $19.50 per eligible class member
  • Privacy monitoring: One year of Dashlane Premium, which includes dark web scanning, advanced phishing protection, a VPN, a password manager and access to fraud resolution agents.

No proof or explanation is required to claim either benefit. Each eligible class member who submits a valid claim by the deadline will receive the full $19.50 cash payment and/or the privacy monitoring service.

How to claim a class action payout

Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print and complete the PDF claim form%20Updated.pdf) and mail it to the settlement administrator. They can also request a paper claim form by calling or emailing the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is April 16, 2026.

What proof or documentation is required to submit a claim?

To file an online claim, class members must provide the class member ID from the settlement notice they received.

Settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund covers:

  • Settlement administration costs: To be determined
  • Attorneys' fees, costs and expenses: Up to $750,000
  • Service awards to class representatives: $2,500 each ($5,000 total)
  • Privacy monitoring: Dependent on number of valid claims
  • Payments to eligible class members: $19.50 per valid claim

When is the Garnet Health settlement payout date?
