About GITSIT Solutions

GITSIT Solutions LLC is a specialty finance company based in Orange, California. Established in 2007, the company focuses on whole loan mortgage investment, trading, technology and servicing for institutional clients. GITSIT Solutions is licensed in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, and is an FHA-approved lender with “Full Eagle” status from Ginnie Mae.

The company acquires, rehabilitates and sells distressed mortgage loans. GITSIT Solutions serves more than 1,500 institutional clients nationwide, providing asset management and loan servicing.

What happened?

In November 2024, GITSIT Solutions experienced a cybersecurity incident. On Nov. 15, 2024, the company detected suspicious activity in its computer systems. An investigation revealed that, between Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, 2024, an unauthorized actor gained access to certain GITSIT computer systems and accessed or acquired files containing sensitive information.

A review was launched and by July 10, 2025, GITSIT Solutions determined that personally identifiable information (PII) had been exposed. The company began notifying affected consumers by mail on Sept. 17, 2025.

  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information

The breach was reported to multiple state authorities, including the California, Maine and Texas Attorney General offices. The total number of impacted individuals has not been released, but includes 425 in Texas and 16 Maine residents.
