Tower Administrative Services Data Breach Exposes SSNs and Financial Information

Tower Administrative Services Inc, a Pennsylvania-based insurance administration company headquartered in Lancaster, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its corporate network.

Tower Administrative Services identified suspicious activity within its corporate network and initiated an investigation.

The investigation found that certain information stored within the company's systems was subject to unauthorized access or acquisition on or around Feb. 3, 2026. After making this discovery, the company worked to identify the data that may have been at risk and to determine which individuals may have been affected. The review process was completed on or around May 20, 2026.

The types of personal information that may have been exposed included names, Social Security numbers, addresses and financial account information including debit and credit account numbers.

The company began notifying affected individuals on June 23, 2026. The total number of individuals affected was not publicly disclosed, however, at least 25,742 Texas residents and 78 Vermont residents were impacted.

Tower Administrative Services disclosed the incident to the attorneys general offices of Nebraska, Texas and Vermont, as well as posted a notice on its website with details about the incident.

Tower Administrative Services' response to the breach

Tower Administrative Services is offering affected individuals complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services. These services are being provided through Cyberscout and Identity Force. To enroll, affected individuals must use the unique activation code included in their notification letter and sign up within 90 days from the date of that letter.

Tower Administrative Services has established a dedicated assistance line for individuals who have questions or concerns about the incident. The line is available between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding major U.S. holidays.
