They engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to assist in the investigation and notified law enforcement. Steps for Affected Individuals

If you have been affected by this data breach, it is crucial to take immediate action to protect your personal information. Here are some steps you can follow:

  1. Enroll in Experian IdentityWorks: Take advantage of the complimentary 24-month membership offered by Skyland Grain. This service provides credit monitoring, identity restoration, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.
  2. Monitor Your Accounts: Regularly review your bank and credit card statements for any unauthorized transactions. Report any suspicious activity to your financial institution immediately.
  3. Obtain Your Credit Report: You are entitled to a free credit report from each of the three nationwide credit reporting companies annually. Visit AnnualCreditReport.com to request your reports and check for any discrepancies.
  4. Consider a Security Freeze: A security freeze can restrict access to your credit file, making it harder for identity thieves to open new accounts in your name. Contact Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to place a freeze on your credit.
  5. Stay Vigilant: Be cautious of phishing attempts and unsolicited communications requesting personal information. Verify the legitimacy of any such requests before responding.
