Dairy Farmers of America Inc. agreed to pay $475,000 plus credit monitoring, administrative and legal fees, to settle a class action lawsuit related to a data security incident that occurred in June 2025. The complaint alleges that certain files containing private information were accessed by an unauthorized third party.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members are individuals whose personal information was compromised in the June 2025 Dairy Farmers of America data breach, including those that received notice of the incident.
How much are settlement payments?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Out-of-pocket loss reimbursement: Class members can claim up to $4,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses that occurred between June 11, 2025, and Oct. 14, 2026 and are traceable to the data breach. This includes fees for credit reports, credit monitoring or freezing/unfreezing credit, costs to replace IDs, postage for contacting financial institutions and monetary losses due to fraud.
- Alternative cash payment: Class members who do not submit an out-of-pocket loss claim can submit a claim to receive a one-time cash payment estimated at $55. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the total number of claims filed.
- Credit monitoring services: All class members can elect to receive two free years of CyEx Financial Shield Total. Services include $1 million in financial fraud insurance, monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized transactions and high-risk activity, and access to a fraud resolution agent if needed.

To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail or email to the settlement administrator.
