Olive Branch Emergency Physicians LLC, an emergency medicine group based in Olive Branch, Mississippi experienced a cybersecurity incident. The data breach originated from ApolloMD Business Services, a company that provides administrative and IT services to affiliated physician practices.
Between May 22 and May 23, 2025, an cybercriminal gained access to ApolloMD’s IT environment. The data breach was detected on May 22, 2025, after suspicious activity was noticed in the company’s systems.
The information exposed included both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) belonging to patients. Exposed information included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses, diagnoses information, provider names, dates of service, treatment information and health insurance information.
The cyberattack was a major event, affecting multiple affiliated physician groups. ApolloMD notified its physician practices between July 21, 2025 and Sept. 11, 2025. The company also notified impacted patients by mail on Sept. 17, 2025.
ApolloMD also published a Notice of Data Security Incident on its website, which includes a list of the affiliated physician practices impacted.
In response to the breach, ApolloMD notified law enforcement and implemented enhanced security protocols. The company is also offering free credit monitoring services to impacted patients whose Social Security numbers were compromised.
