Individuals who received notice that the February 2025 AIS InfoSource data breach may have compromised their private information could be eligible to submit a claim for up to $5,000 from a class action settlement.
AIS InfoSource L.P. agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to protect sensitive personal information during a cybersecurity incident that took place in February 2025. The plaintiff claims a criminal third party gained unauthorized access to the AIS network, potentially exposing names, Social Security numbers and/or financial account numbers of approximately 23,499 people.
Who can file a claim a data breach settlement payout?
Class members are individuals residing in the United States who received notice that the February 2025 AIS InfoSource data breach may have compromised their personally identifiable information, including those that received notice of the settlement.
How much can class members get?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket losses: Class members can claim up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses that occurred between Feb. 16, 2025, and Oct. 12, 2026, and are traceable to the data breach. This includes monetary losses due to identity theft or fraud, fees for credit reports or credit monitoring, costs to replace IDs and postage to contact financial institutions.
- Reimbursement for lost time: Class members can claim up to four hours at $20 per hour (maximum $80) for time spent dealing with issues related to the data breach. This includes time spent changing passwords, investigating suspicious account activity and researching the breach.
- Credit monitoring services: All class members can elect to receive two free years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete with one-bureau credit monitoring. Services include $1 million in financial fraud insurance; monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized financial transactions and high-risk activity; and access to a fraud resolution agent if needed.
How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail or email to the settlement administrator.

- Out-of-pocket losses claims require supporting documentation, which may include receipts, bank or credit card statements showing unreimbursed fees or fraudulent charges and other proof of identity theft or fraud.

When is the AIS InfoSource data breach settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
This class action lawsuit alleged a cybercriminal gained unauthorized access to AIS InfoSource’s network in February 2025, potentially exposing personal information. The plaintiffs claimed that AIS InfoSource failed to adequately protect their personal information.
AIS InfoSource denies the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the expense and risk of continued litigation.
