NetJets experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to an employee’s Microsoft 365 account. According to the company’s notice, on March 12, 2025 an external actor was able to view and obtain files from this compromised account.
The investigation revealed that at least one of the files accessed contained sensitive personal information. The types of consumer information exposed included names and Social Security numbers.
NetJets disclosed the cybersecurity incident to the Vermont Attorney General’s office on June 2, 2025.
In response to the breach, NetJets took several steps to contain and report the incident. The company has notified the Vermont Attorney General's office and mailed letters to impacted individuals.
