In June 2025, Antigo Construction, a provider of concrete pavement rehabilitation services, experienced a data breach when the company discovered that certain network devices were unavailable. An investigation determined that a threat actor gained access to and encrypted files containing personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) between June 1, 2025 and June 11, 2025.

Compromised information included names, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers and health insurance information. Antigo Construction has begun notifying affected individuals by mail. The total number of current and former employees nationwide has not been publicly disclosed.

The cybersecurity incident was disclosed to the Montana Attorney General's office on Oct. 31, 2025. This type of breach puts affected individuals at risk for identity theft, financial fraud and potential misuse of health information.

Antigo Construction's response

In response to the breach, Antigo Construction engaged a cybersecurity firm to investigate and contain the threat, along with notifying law enforcement. The company is provided affected individuals free access to Epiq’s Privacy Solutions ID, which includes one year of three-bureau credit monitoring, identity theft insurance up to $1 million, identity restoration services, dark web monitoring and lost wallet assistance.

If you receive a notice from Antigo Construction about this breach, you may want to:

  • Sign up for the free credit monitoring services, provided by the company.
  • Monitor your credit reports and financial accounts for any unusual activity.
  • Be alert for phishing emails or phone calls that may use your exposed information.
  • Consider placing a fraud alert or credit freeze with major credit bureaus.
