Job seekers who applied for a position with Tapestry Inc. in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 9, 2025, in which the job posting did not include a wage scale, salary range or description of benefits may be eligible to claim between $793.79 and $5,000 from a class action settlement.
Tapestry Inc. agreed to pay up to $1.23 million to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging its Washington job postings failed to include required wage and benefit information as mandated by state law.
Who are the class members?
To be considered a class member, individuals must meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for a job with Tapestry Inc. in the state of Washington.
- They submitted their application between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 9, 2025.
- The job posting they applied to did not include the wage scale or salary range and did not include a general description of all benefits and other compensation to be offered to the hired applicant.
The settlement administrator will identify class members using Tapestry Inc.’s records.
How much is the Tapestry payout?
The settlement fund has a minimum of $781,882.81 and a maximum of $1,231,250. All eligible claimants receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. The number of claimants determines the amount of the settlement fund. If the number of claimants is less than or equal to 45% of the total settlement class, Tapestry will pay the minimum amount of $781,882.81. For every eligible claimant above 45%, Tapestry will increase the fund by $793.79 until it reaches the maximum $1,231,250.
The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount for each class member by dividing the net settlement fund by the number of valid claimants with an estimated payment of $793.79 per person and cap of $5,000 per person.

Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged Tapestry Inc. violated Washington law (RCW 49.58.110) by failing to include required wage and benefit information in job postings for open positions. The plaintiffs claimed this omission deprived job applicants of information they were legally entitled to receive.
Tapestry Inc. denied all allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty, risks and expense of ongoing litigation.
