
Individuals who received a notice that their personal information may have been compromised in a data breach involving Axip Energy Services LP between March and May 2024 may qualify to submit a claim for up to $3,000 from a class action settlement.
Axip Energy Services LP agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to adequately protect personal information during a data breach. The cybersecurity incident compromised the personal information of approximately 7,222 individuals, including current and former employees.
Who can file a data breach claim?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They reside in the United States
- The data breach affecting Axip Energy Services LP between March and May 2024 compromised their personally identifiable information.
- They received a notice of data breach, which Axip Energy Services LP sent on or about Aug. 21, 2024.
How much is the class action settlement payout?
Class members can claim one or more of the following benefits:
- Credit monitoring: All class members can elect to receive three years of three-bureau credit monitoring at no cost.
- One-time cash payment: All class members can submit a claim to receive a one-time $63 payment.
- Out-of-pocket extraordinary expenses: Class members can claim documented monetary losses, which may include unreimbursed bank fees, fees for credit reports or monitoring and other expenses traceable to the data breach and incurred between March 1, 2024, and Dec. 1, 2025. The total reimbursement, including the $63 payment, cannot exceed $3,000 per claimant.
How to claim a class action rebate
To claim a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online, download a personalized claim form from the same link or print a blank PDF claim form to mail to the settlement administrator.

Class members must submit claim forms online or postmark them by March 2, 2026.
Required proof and claim information
- All class members must provide the Claim ID and PIN from the settlement notice they received.
- Out-of-pocket expenses claims require supporting documentation, which may include receipts, bank or credit card statements statements, bills or other third-party records showing the data breach directly caused the expense or loss.
Payout options
Class members with eligible claims will receive a paper check mailed to the address provided on the claim form.
Data breach settlement fund breakdown
The settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration and credit monitoring costs: Up to $50,000
- Attorneys' fees, costs, and expenses: Up to $120,000
- Service award to class representative: $5,000
- Payments to approved claimants: Determined by number of claims filed

When is the Axip Energy Services settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments and credit monitoring codes to class members with valid claims approximately 60 days after it completes processing or the court grants final approval to the settlement, whichever is later.
