
Job seekers who applied for a position with Glacier Bank or Wheatland Bank in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and Jan. 23, 2026, in which the job posting did not include required pay or benefits information may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.
Glacier Bank and Wheatland Bank agreed to pay up to $1.6 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging they failed to include wage scales, salary ranges or a general description of benefits and other compensation in job postings as required by Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110).
Who can file a claim?
Individuals must meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening in the state of Washington with Glacier Bank or Wheatland Bank between Jan. 1, 2023, and Jan. 23, 2026.
- The job posting for the position did not disclose the wage scale or salary range or include a general description of all benefits and other compensation.
- They did not voluntarily withdraw their application.
- Glacier Bank or Wheatland Bank did not automatically disqualify them from consideration.
- Glacier Bank or Wheatland Bank did not hire them for the position.
How much can class members get?
The settlement fund ranges from a minimum of $1,115,146.65 to a maximum of $1,608,600.00, depending on the number of claims. All class members who submit a valid claim will receive an equal share of the settlement fund after deductions for attorneys’ fees, costs and service awards.
The estimated payment amount is $954.29. It may be higher, up to $5,000, depending on the number of valid claims.
The settlement administrator considers payments as nonwage damages and interest and will report them to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC.
How to claim a class action rebate
Class members can complete the online claim form or download, print and fill out the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is April 21, 2026.

Required proof
- All class members must provide their Social Security number for tax purposes.
- Online claimants must provide the CPT ID and passcode from the settlement notice they received. Those who do not have a CPT ID and/or passcode should email WheatlandGlaciersettlement@cptgroup.com.
Payout options
The settlement administrator will mail checks to the address provided on the class member's claim form. All checks will expire and become void 181 days after issuance.
$1.61 million settlement fund breakdown
The $1,610,000 settlement fund includes:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $20,000
- Attorneys' fees: Up to $474,537
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $5,000
- Service awards to class representatives: $5,000 for one representative and $7,500 for a second representative ($12,500 total)
- Payments to eligible class members: The remainder of the fund

When is the Glacier Bank and Wheatland Bank settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments approximately 51 days after the court grants final approval and the settlement becomes final.

The class action lawsuit alleged Glacier Bank and Wheatland Bank failed to include required pay and benefits information in job postings, violating Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110).
The banks deny any wrongdoing, but both sides agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty, risks and costs of continued litigation.
