Why is there a class action settlement?
This class action lawsuit was filed after a targeted cyberattack on Arden Claims Service’s computer systems in October 2023, which resulted in unauthorized access to files containing private information, including names and Social Security numbers. Arden denies the allegations, and the court has not decided who is right.
Both sides agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainties of continued litigation.
