
Individuals who received notice that the May 2025 Myers Auto Group data breach compromised their private information may be eligible to submit a claim for a cash payment and free credit monitoring from a class action settlement. The cybersecurity incident affected an estimated 4,200 people.
Myers Auto Group LLC agreed to pay to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to protect consumer data during a targeted cyberattack. The incident exposed sensitive personal information, including names, contact details, dates of birth, and Social Security and driver’s license numbers.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members are individuals whose private information the Myers Auto Group data breach that occurred in May 2025 compromised.
How much is the settlement payout?
- Pro rata cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a pro rata share of a $15,000 settlement fund. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the number of claims filed.

How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a cash payment, class members can file a claim online or print a PDF claim form to complete and mail or email to the settlement administrator.

To receive one free year of CyEx Financial Shield Complete, class members can enroll online after the court grants final approval to the settlement and the effective date passes. They do not need to submit a claim form to receive this benefit.

Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged a targeted cyberattack impacted Myers Auto Group’s computer systems in May 2025. The plaintiffs claimed the company failed to adequately protect private information, resulting in unauthorized access to files containing personal and sensitive data.
