Individuals who received notice that their private information was compromised in the May 2025 Myers Auto Group data breach, may be eligible to submit a claim for a cash payment and free credit monitoring from a class action settlement. The cybersecurity incident compromised an estimated 4,200 people.

Myers Auto Group LLC has agreed to pay to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged failures to protect consumer data during a targeted cyberattack. The incident exposed sensitive personal information, including names, contact details, dates of birth and government identification numbers such as Social Security or driver’s license numbers.

Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?

Class members are individuals whose private information was compromised in the Myers Auto Group data breach that occurred in May 2025.

How much is the settlement payout?

  • Pro rata cash payment: Class members can submit to receive a pro rata share of a $15,000 settlement fund. Final payment amount will be determined by the number of claims filed.

How to claim a class action rebate

To receive a cash payment, class members can file a claim online or print a PDF claim form to complete and mail or email to the settlement administrator.

To receive one free year of CyEx Financial Shield Complete, class members can enroll online after the settlement is granted final approval and the effective date has passed. A claim form is not required to receive this benefit.

Data breach settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund will include:

Why was there a class action settlement?
