What Happened?
In early January, Neurological Associates of Washington discovered a data breach involving its medical records server. The breach was the result of a ransomware attack carried out by the DragonForce group.
The attackers claimed to have obtained 72.53 GB of data and posted about the incident on the dark web on Dec. 28, 2025. The compromised server contained medical records from 2019 to 2025.
The company reported the incident to the FBI, the Department of Health and Human Services and local law enforcement. The incident was also disclosed to the Washington Attorney General.
The breach exposed sensitive information belonging to approximately 13,500 individuals in Washington.
Affected individuals were notified beginning Jan. 22, 2026. The company also posted a security incident notice to its website.

- Full dates of birth
- Health insurance policy or ID numbers
- Medical information (diagnosis and disability code)
