On July 24, 2025, Team Post Op., a major provider of durable medical equipment and orthotics based in Sunrise, Florida, was listed as a victim of a ransomware attack by the cybercriminal group INC RANSOM. The group claimed responsibility for the breach on the Tor network, stating they had obtained sensitive data from the organization.
While the number of affected individuals has not been disclosed, Team Post Op. Inc. serves over 16,000 adult and pediatric patients annually. The data accessed in the cyberattack may have included both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).
Types potentially exposed information could include include patient names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, contact details, insurance information, medical device usage records, order histories and other sensitive medical or financial records.
Team Post Op. has not yet released a public statement about the cyberattack. Affected individuals will be notified and required state and federal disclosures will be made.
