National Association of Credit Management Intermountain (NACM), a regional credit services organization serving business credit professionals in the Intermountain region, disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive consumer information.

The organization disclosed the breach in a filing with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on June 18, 2026. The total number of individuals affected across the United States disclosed.

The breach exposed two categories of highly sensitive consumer data: Social Security numbers and credit or debit card numbers.

NACM's response to the breach

NACM sent notifications to individuals whose information was affected by the breach, providing information about steps individuals can take to help protect themselves from potential misuse of their data.

The notification directed affected individuals to contact the credit reporting bureaus, the Federal Trade Commission or their state attorney general for additional guidance.

NACM also informed affected individuals of their right to file a police report if they experience identity theft or fraud.
