On June 8 and June 9, 2025, Fishman, Larsen & Callister, P.C., a Fresno, California-based law firm, experienced a data security incident impacting personal information associated with its legal services.

The firm detected a network disruption on June 9, 2025, and took steps to secure its systems. A cybersecurity investigation determined that an unauthorized actor had acquired certain data from the firm’s network on or about June 8, 2025.

The firm engaged a third-party vendor to conduct a comprehensive review of the affected data, which revealed that personal information may have been involved. By Feb. 5, 2026, the scope of the impact was confirmed, and the firm began notifying those affected.

While the specific types of information exposed were not detailed in the public disclosure, the notice states that the breach involved individuals’ names in combination with other personal data.

At this time, the number of affected individuals has not been disclosed. The breach was reported to the California Attorney General on Feb. 12, 2026.

Fishman, Larsen & Callister's response

These services provide real-time alerts for changes to credit files and proactive fraud assistance.

Individuals who receive a notification letter from the firm are encouraged to enroll in the credit monitoring and identity theft protection services within 90 days of receiving the letter.

The firm also recommends that affected individuals remain vigilant by regularly reviewing account statements and credit reports, promptly reporting any suspicious activity to financial institutions, and considering placing fraud alerts or security freezes on their credit files.
