Champion Manufacturing Inc, doing business as Champion Healthcare, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its internal corporate systems.

In late January 2026, Champion detected suspicious activity on its internal corporate systems. The company determined that this activity was the result of a cybersecurity incident and immediately began an investigation with the support of third-party cybersecurity experts.

The investigation found that an unauthorized party accessed certain Champion internal corporate systems and obtained certain files in late January 2026. After discovering the unauthorized access, Champion worked with outside experts to conduct a thorough review of the affected files.

The types of personal information exposed included names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, military or other federal identification numbers, visa or immigration information and health or medical information.

The breach was reported to the New Hampshire Attorney General on May 8, 2026. Champion began notifying affected consumers on May 8, 2026.

The total number of individuals affected across the United States has not been disclosed.

Champion Healthcare's response to the breach

Champion is offering affected individuals a complimentary 24-month membership in Experian IdentityWorks. The service includes credit monitoring on the individual's Experian credit file, identity restoration support and $1 million in identity theft insurance.

Affected individuals can enroll by Aug. 31, 2026, by visiting the Experian IdentityWorks enrollment page and entering the activation code provided in their notification letter. Identity restoration support is available for 24 months from the date of the letter and does not require enrollment.

Even after the membership expires, affected individuals will continue to receive identity restoration support through Experian's ExtendCare program, according to the notification.

Individuals who have questions about the incident can call the company's dedicated support line Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. ET, excluding major U.S. holidays. Those with speech or hearing impairments can reach the support line by calling 711 for TTY assistance.
