







Between Dec. 27 and Dec. 28, 2023, Alpha Omega Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Napa Valley, experienced a ransomware attack that resulted in a data breach. The breach was disclosed to the California Attorney General’s office on Nov. 6, 2025, and to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office on Nov. 7, 2025.
Alpha Omega Winery recently disclosed a ransomware attack on its network. The total number of individuals impacted by this cybersecurity incident is unknown, but could be significant.
Compromised information potentially includes names, date of birth, Social Security number, state-issued ID numbers, medical information and health insurance information. The exposure of both PII and PHI, puts individuals at risk for identity theft and medical fraud. The company is notifying impacted individuals by mail.
After detecting the ransomware attack, Alpha Omega Winery, LLC initiated an investigation, engaged a national cybersecurity firm and notified law enforcement. In addition to required state and federal disclosures, the company is offering 24-month TransUnion credit monitoring services and fraud assistance through Cyberscout, to those impacted.
