CSC Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers

Corporation Service Co., widely known as CSC, disclosed a data breach that exposed Social Security numbers.

The breach was reported to the Vermont Attorney General on Aug. 13, 2026.

On Oct. 21, 2025, CL0P posted a claim on the Tor network asserting that it had obtained data belonging to CSC. The dark web claim by CL0P appeared approximately 10 months before the breach was formally reported to state regulators.

At this time, specific details concerning the nature of the breach, the discovery date, and the steps taken to contain the incident remain publicly undisclosed.

The personal information exposed in this breach included Social Security numbers.
