Why did this class action settlement happen?
This class action lawsuit claimed a targeted cyberattack compromised Sansone Group LLC's computer systems in March 2025. The breach allegedly allowed unauthorized access to files containing personal customer information, such as names and Social Security numbers. The plaintiffs claimed Sansone did not adequately protect their private information.
Sansone denies the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.
