Employees who worked for Alliance Ground International LLC in Illinois and scanned their finger or face for timekeeping purposes between September 2020 and Aug. 12, 2026, may be eligible to claim up to $2,000 from a class action settlement.
ZK Technology LLC agreed to pay $635,160 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. The lawsuit claimed ZK Technology collected or received biometric data, such as fingerprints or facial scans, from AGI employees without providing the required written disclosures or obtaining written consent.
Who can file a BIPA claim?
Class members are individuals who worked for Alliance Ground International in the state of Illinois, scanned their finger or face using AGI's timekeeping system between September 2020 and Aug. 12, 2026, and did not provide consent to share their biometric information with ZK Technology.
How much are settlement payouts?
Cash payments: Eligible class members will receive an equal share of the settlement fund. The estimated payment per claimant is between $800 and $2,000. The exact amount each person receives depends on the total number of valid claims submitted and the final deductions for attorney's fees and costs, the service award and administration costs.
How to claim a settlement payment
Eligible class members must submit an online claim form or print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.
