PTT LLC, d/b/a High 5 Games LLC and High 5 Entertainment LLC, agreed to pay at least $12 million and up to $30 million to settle a class action lawsuit. Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged High 5 Games’ social casino apps violated Washington’s gambling laws and consumer protection act by allowing users to purchase virtual coins for games. After a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff, both parties agreed to settle to avoid the expense and delay of continued litigation.
