
Individuals who received a notice stating a data breach involving P&S Transportation LLC and Carriage Purchaser Inc., doing business as PS Logistics, potentially compromised their personal information, including their name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number or medical information, may be eligible to claim up to $4,000 from a class action settlement.
PS Logistics agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract and unjust enrichment following a ransomware attack that exposed sensitive personal data.
Who can file a claim?
The settlement class includes all individuals residing in the United States whom PS Logistics sent a notice letter stating the Feb. 20, 2024, data incident involving P&S Transportation LLC and Carriage Purchaser Inc., d/b/a PS Logistics, may have compromised their private information. PS Logistics sent the notice after Dec. 19, 2024.
How much can class members get?
Class members who submit a valid claim can receive the following benefits:
- Documented losses (cash payment A): Class members may claim up to $4,000 for actual, documented monetary losses that are most likely attributable to the data incident. These losses can include monetary loss, professional fees (such as attorneys’ or accountants’ fees), and costs for credit repair services. The losses must have occurred between Feb. 20, 2024, and the claims deadline of May 18, 2026. Class members must provide documentation, such as receipts or statements. Losses are not eligible if another source already reimbursed them.
- Alternative cash payment (cash payment B): Those who do not claim documented losses can submit a claim for a flat payment of $45.
- Credit monitoring: All class members may also elect to receive one year of credit monitoring, which includes credit monitoring, dark web monitoring, up to $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance coverage and fully managed identity recovery services.
How to claim a class action payment
Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is May 18, 2026.

What proof or documentation is required to submit a claim?
- To file an online claim, class members must provide the claim ID and PIN from the settlement notice they received.
- To file a documented losses claim, class members must provide supporting documentation, such as receipts, statements or other proof of expenses incurred as a result of the data incident.
- To file an alternative cash payment claim, class members must certify that they received a notification about the data incident and select the appropriate option on the claim form.
- To file a credit monitoring claim, class members must select the appropriate option on the claim form.

- Paper check mailed to the address provided on the claim form
- Credit monitoring activation instructions sent via email or mail
Settlement fund breakdown
The settlement fund covers:
- Settlement administration costs: To be determined
- Attorneys' fees and costs: Up to $270,000
- Service awards to class representatives: Up to $2,500 each to three representatives (up to $7,500 total)
- Credit monitoring costs: Determined by total number of valid claims for this option
- Payments to eligible class members: The remainder of the fund

When is the PS Logistics settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will begin issuing payments to eligible class members approximately 30 days after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval to the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged a ransomware attack on PS Logistics’ systems on Feb. 20, 2024, led to unauthorized access to sensitive personal information. The plaintiffs claimed PS Logistics failed to adequately protect their data, resulting in claims of negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract and unjust enrichment.
By settling, both parties avoid the costs and risks of ongoing litigation.
