The college denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to this settlement to avoid the risks and costs associated with continued litigation.

How much are the payouts for the class members?
The settlement provides various types of compensation, depending on the claimant’s circumstances:
- Credit monitoring services: Up to two years of credit monitoring through a national credit reporting bureau, including at least $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance
- Unreimbursed losses: Up to $2,000 per claimant for actual, documented, and unreimbursed monetary losses that are more likely than not caused by the security incident and incurred between Dec. 15, 2023, and Dec. 29, 2025
- Lost time compensation: $25 per hour for up to four hours (maximum $100) for time spent dealing with issues related to the incident, subject to the $2,000 cap for unreimbursed losses
For example, if a class member spent three hours monitoring accounts and had $1,500 in documented losses due to identity theft, they could claim $75 for lost time and $1,500 for unreimbursed losses, totaling $1,575.
Or, if documentation is submitted for $1,800 in unreimbursed losses and four hours of lost time ($25 x 4 = $100), the total claim would be $1,900.
However, if $2,000 in unreimbursed losses are claimed and in addition to a claim for lost time, the total compensation cannot exceed $2,000.
