Individuals who received a notice from Ingram Micro Americas Inc. stating a July 2025 data incident compromised their private information may be eligible to claim up to $1,500 from a class action settlement.
Ingram Micro Americas Inc. agreed to pay $350,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to adequately protect personal information during a targeted cyberattack in July 2025. The settlement provides compensation and credit monitoring for individuals whose data, such as names and Social Security numbers, the incident may have exposed.
Who can file a claim?
The class includes all living individuals residing in the United States whom Ingram Micro Americas Inc. sent a notice stating a July 2025 data incident impacted their private information. This includes both current and former employees.
How much can class members get?
The settlement provides two main types of benefits: cash payments and credit monitoring.
All class members are automatically eligible for two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance and monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized transactions and high-risk activity.
Class members may also claim one of two types of cash payments:
- Documented losses: Those who experienced actual, documented out-of-pocket losses due to the data incident can claim reimbursement up to $1,500. To claim this payment, class members must provide proof, such as receipts, showing the amount spent or lost. Personal certifications or affidavits alone are not sufficient, but the class member may include them as supplemental information. Covered expenses include:
- Losses from identity theft or fraud
- Fees for credit reports, credit monitoring or freezing/unfreezing credit
- Costs to replace IDs
- Postage for contacting banks or financial institutions
- Pro rata cash payment: Instead of claiming documented losses, class members may claim a pro rata share of a $100,000 fund. The settlement administrator will divide this fund equally among all class members who file a valid claim for this option. The payment is estimated at $50, but the final amount will depend on the number of valid claims submitted. If the number of claims for pro rata cash payments exceeds the $100,000 fund, the settlement administrator will reduce each claimant’s payment proportionately.
How to claim a settlement payment
Eligible class members can file the online claim form or download and print the PDF claim form, complete it and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is May 19, 2026.
