
Individuals who received a notice from Complete Payroll Solutions about a data breach that may have exposed their personal information could be eligible to submit a claim for up to $5,000, a pro rata payment and credit monitoring from a class action settlement.
Complete Payroll Solutions LLC agreed to pay $2.6 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging negligence, breach of implied contract, invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment after a cybersecurity incident in March 2024 potentially compromised sensitive personal data. The data breach exposed personally identifiable information, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers and financial information belonging to an estimated 376,943 people.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- Complete Payroll Solutions sent them a notice regarding the data breach discovered on or around March 10, 2024.
- Complete Payroll Solutions otherwise determined the data breach impacted their personal information.
How much can class members get?
Class members can claim one or more of the following:
- Documented monetary losses: Class members can claim up to $5,000 in reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. These may include credit monitoring costs incurred after March 10, 2024, unreimbursed losses from fraud or identity theft, bank fees, postage or mileage.
- Pro rata cash payment: All class members can submit a claim to receive an estimated pro rata cash payment of $100. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the total number of valid claims filed.
- Credit monitoring: All class members can elect to receive three years of one-bureau credit monitoring, which includes dark web monitoring, identity theft insurance up to $1,000,000 and identity recovery services.
How to claim a class action rebate
To claim a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.

When is the Complete Payroll Solutions settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants within 21 days after it approves claims or approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement, whichever is later.
