On or around January 25, 2025, Northwest Radiologists and Mount Baker Imaging experienced a data security incident involving unauthorized access to their network systems. According to the official notification of data security incident, the breach was first detected when a network disruption impacted certain systems. The organizations immediately launched an investigation with the help of third-party computer forensics specialists.
The investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed certain data. While the review is still ongoing, it has been confirmed that a limited amount of protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII) may have been impacted.
The types of information that may have been exposed include: first and last names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification card numbers, treatment or diagnosis information, provider names, medical record numbers or patient identification numbers, health insurance information, and treatment cost information.
In response to the incident, Northwest Radiologists and Mount Baker Imaging have taken several steps to secure their systems and support affected individuals. They have implemented additional security measures within their network and facilities and are reviewing current policies and procedures related to data security.
The organizations have also established a dedicated call center to answer questions and address concerns related to the breach. If you have questions or believe you may be affected, you can contact the call center at 1-877-593-0354 or write to 2930 Squalicum Parkway, Suite 101, Bellingham, WA 98225.
Although there is currently no evidence that the exposed information has been misused, it is important for those potentially affected to remain vigilant. You should carefully review your healthcare statements for accuracy and report any unfamiliar services or charges to your provider or insurance carrier.
As a precaution, consider monitoring your credit reports and placing a fraud alert or credit freeze with the major credit bureaus: TransUnion (1-800-680-7289), Experian (1-888-397-3742), and Equifax (1-888-298-0045).

A breach notice means your personal details could be circulating far beyond the organization involved. One practical step is continuous monitoring: services such as Identity Defender (included with an ExpressVPN subscription) can automatically check dark-web markets, flag new credit-file activity, and request removal of your information from data-broker sites.
This kind of “early-warning system” can’t undo a breach, but it can help you spot misuse quickly and limit further exposure. ExpressVPN is offering 61% off, risk-free for 30 days, with ID Theft Insurance included and no extra cost for those who sign up for one or two years.
