
Noll & Tam Architects, a Berkeley, California-based architectural firm that designs public and community-focused buildings such as libraries, civic centers and university facilities, disclosed a data breach in May 2026 that exposed sensitive personal information. The total number of individuals affected nationwide was not disclosed in available regulatory filings.
The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on May 19, 2026.
On March 17, 2026, a ransomware group known as TERMITE posted on the Tor dark web network, claiming it had obtained data belonging to Noll & Tam Architects.
Upon discovering the incident, the company learned of the event, it started an investigation and reassessed the security of its systems.
The personal information exposed in the breach included names, Social Security numbers and financial account information.
Noll & Tam is offering affected individuals 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll. The monitoring package includes three key services: credit monitoring, fraud consultation and identity theft restoration.
To enroll in these services, individuals who received a notification letter should visit Kroll's enrollment page and enter the unique membership number included in their letter. Each letter includes a specific deadline by which individuals must activate their services.
Noll & Tam has also set up a dedicated phone line for individuals who have questions about the breach or need additional assistance. The dedicated phone line can be reached at 844-959-7071 and is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding U.S. holidays.
