Issaqueena Pediatric Dentistry PA, a pediatric dental practice based in Seneca, S.C., recently experienced a ransomware attack that compromised sensitive patient information.

The incident was first detected on Nov. 11, 2025, but an internal investigation determined that unauthorized access to certain files occurred between Nov. 9 and Nov. 11, 2025.

The responsible party behind the attack is the INTERLOCK ransomware group, which claimed on a dark web posting dated Nov. 24, 2025, to have stolen over 118 GB of data from Issaqueena Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. The group posted details of the breach on the Tor network, further confirming the ransomware nature of the attack.

While the specific types of information exposed are still under review, the files accessed may include personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) related to patients and employees.

The company is conducting a detailed analysis to determine exactly what data was involved and to whom it relates.

The breach was disclosed to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services breach portal. The company has also posted a notice on its website.

The total number of affected individuals is currently undisclosed.
