Individuals who received a prerecorded message from Wilshire Law Firm on their cell phone between Oct. 10, 2020, and Feb. 18, 2026, may be eligible to claim an estimated $75 from a class action settlement.
Wilshire Law Firm P.L.C. agreed to pay $5.98 million to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The lawsuit claims Wilshire sent prerecorded messages to cell phone numbers without prior consent.
Who can file a claim?
To be eligible for a payment from the settlement, individuals must meet all of the following criteria:
- They are located within the United States.
- Wilshire Law Firm or an agent acting on Wilshire’s behalf called their cellular telephone number.
- Wilshire placed the call between Oct. 10, 2020, and Feb. 18, 2026.
- Wilshire used a prerecorded message in the call.
The settlement website estimates the class includes approximately 51,691 unique telephone numbers.
Individuals who received a postcard notice from the settlement administrator are likely included in the settlement as their phone number appears in the call records the administrator obtained for the lawsuit. Those who did not receive a postcard but believe they may be a class member can verify their eligibility by calling the settlement administrator at 833-515-7475 and providing their name and cell phone number.
How much can class members get?
Each eligible class member who submits a valid claim will receive an estimated $75 payment.
The gross value of each approved claim is $113.40 before deductions. However, the settlement administrator determined the final payment amount by subtracting each class member’s share of attorneys’ fees and settlement administration expenses from the gross value. The result is a net payment of $75 per approved claim provided the court approves all requested payments.
The settlement allows for only one claim per class member per telephone number.
How to claim a settlement payout
Class members can file a claim online or download, print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.
The claim deadline is May 19, 2026.
