Current or former patients of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare who had an active patient portal account between Dec. 29, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2024, may be eligible to claim a $17 cash payment and/or 24 months of credit monitoring from a class action settlement.

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Inc. agreed to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging its use of third-party web tracking and analytics tools on its website may have disclosed patients’ personally identifiable and protected health information to companies such as Facebook and Google.

Who can file a claim?

Class members must meet all of the following criteria:

  • They are a U.S. resident.
  • They are or were a patient of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
  • They had an active patient portal account with TMH at any time from Dec. 29, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2024.

How much can class members receive?

Eligible class members can claim one or both of the following benefits:

  • A cash payment of $17
  • Up to 24 months of CyEx Financial Shield Complete (credit and identity monitoring)

How to claim settlement benefits

Class members can file the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Feb. 9, 2026.

Is proof or documentation required to submit a claim?

All claimants must provide the unique ID located on their settlement notice. Online claimants must also provide the PIN from the same notice. Those who are unable to locate their ID and PIN should contact the settlement administrator by emailing info@TallahasseePixelSettlement.com or calling 833-417-4926 and providing their full name and mailing address.

Settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund covers:

  • Settlement administration costs: To be determined
  • Attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses: Up to $410,000
  • Service awards to class representatives: $3,000 each ($6,000 total)
  • Credit monitoring costs: Dependent on number of valid claims
  • Payments to class members: $17 per approved claim

  • Final approval hearing: March 2, 2026

When is the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare pixel settlement payout date?

The settlement administrator will distribute payments and benefits approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Why did this class action settlement happen?

The class action lawsuit alleged that Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare used third-party web tracking and analytics tools on its website, which may have disclosed patients’ personally identifiable and protected health information to companies such as Facebook and Google.

TMH denies all wrongdoing and liability. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid the cost, risk and uncertainty of further litigation.
