Christian Dior Data Breach Class Action Settlement
Christian Dior Data Breach Class Action Settlement

Individuals who received notice that the January 2025 Christian Dior data incident may have compromised their personal information could be eligible to claim up to $1,600 from a class action settlement.

Christian Dior Inc. agreed to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging a cybersecurity incident exposed sensitive customer information. The compromised data included names, contact details, addresses, dates of birth and, in some instances, government identification numbers or Social Security numbers.

Who can file a claim?

The settlement class is defined as all U.S. individuals who received notice from Christian Dior Inc. by mail or email that the January 2025 data incident impacted their personal information.

There are two groups within the class:

  • Individuals whose Social Security numbers the incident impacted (Tier 1 settlement class members)
  • All other individuals who received notice but whose Social Security numbers the incident did not impact

How much can class members get?

The settlement provides two main types of benefits: credit monitoring and cash payments. The amount and type of compensation depends on the nature of the information affected and the losses incurred.

  • Cash payment for documented losses: Up to $1,500 for out-of-pocket expenses or financial losses directly resulting from fraud or identity theft related to the data incident. The losses must have occurred between July 18, 2025, and March 11, 2026. Eligible expenses include losses from identity theft or fraud, fees for credit reports or credit monitoring, costs to replace identification and postage to contact banks by mail.
  • Flat cash payment for Tier 1 settlement class members: Individuals whose Social Security numbers the data breach impacted may claim a one-time $100 payment without needing to provide documentation.
  • Credit monitoring: Two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance and monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized transactions and high-risk activity

The settlement does not cover expenses a third party already reimbursed.

Why did this class action settlement happen?

Dior denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs, risks and uncertainties of further litigation.
