Individuals who received notice that The Management Association Inc. security incidents discovered in July 2023 and January 2024 compromised their personal information may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.
The Management Association Inc. agreed to pay $775,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to protect private information during targeted cyberattacks on its computer systems. The lawsuit claims unauthorized parties accessed files containing sensitive data, including names, Social Security numbers, and medical and financial information.
Who are the class members?
The class includes all individuals residing in the United States whose personal information the security incidents MRA discovered in July 2023 or January 2024 may have compromised, including anyone who received notice of the breach from MRA or their current or former employer.
The estimated number of class members is 36,434.
How much can class members get?
The total settlement fund is $775,000. Before the settlement administrator makes payments to class members, it will use the fund to pay for court-approved attorneys’ fees and costs, a service award for the class representative and the costs of administering the settlement.
The settlement provides an equal cash payment to each class member who does not opt out.
No action needed to receive payment
Class members do not need to file a claim to receive compensation. The settlement administrator will automatically send payments to the address MRA has on file unless the class member updates their address. Those who prefer a digital payment can also update their payment preference using the same link. Those who do nothing will receive a check by mail.
Required information
To update their address or payment method, class members must log in to the settlement website using the unique ID and PIN from the notice they received. Those who did not receive a unique ID and PIN but believe they are a class member should contact the settlement administrator at info@MRADataSettlement.com or 866-675-3037.
