Who are the class members?

Eligible class members must meet all of the following criteria:

They spent money to play any of the following games:

myVEGAS Bingo

They made these purchases while physically located in one of the following states during the corresponding timeframes:

Alabama: March 8, 2022, to June 30, 2026
Ohio: July 26, 2022, to June 30, 2026
New Jersey: Jan. 2, 2024, to June 30, 2026
Massachusetts: July 26, 2022, to June 30, 2026
Tennessee: Nov. 12, 2022, to June 30, 2026
Kentucky: July 5, 2018, to June 29, 2023

This includes purchases made through platforms such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Amazon or Microsoft are included.

How much are settlement payments?

Class members have the following benefit options:

Virtual currency award: Class members who do not file an election form will receive 27% of their total spending on the games in the form of virtual currency.
Cash award: Class members who file an election form can receive up to 23% of their total spending as a cash payment. If the total cash elections exceed 17% of the total settlement fund, the settlement administrator may reduce each cash payment and provide the remainder as virtual currency.

How to claim a class action rebate

To receive a cash payment, class members must submit an online election form or print and complete the PDF election form and mail it to the settlement administrator. Class members can request a paper election form by contacting the settlement administrator.

Is proof or documentation required to submit a claim?

Class members who prefer the virtual currency payment do not need to submit a claim. They will automatically receive their award in-game.

Class members who prefer to receive a cash payment must provide information to verify their eligibility, including:

Name, address, email and phone number
Player ID(s) and/or support code(s) for each game played and purchased in
All email addresses associated with their game and platform accounts
Their signature, affirming the information is accurate

$3 million settlement fund

The $3,000,000 settlement includes:

When is the Playstudios settlement payout date?

The settlement administrator will issue cash payments to class members who file an election form within 60 days after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement. It will distribute virtual currency awards in installments over two years.

Why did this class action settlement happen?

The class action lawsuit alleged Playstudios US violated state gambling laws in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey and Massachusetts by selling virtual chips in its social casino-themed games.

Playstudios US denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the risks and expenses of further litigation.
