
Individuals who applied for a job with Goodfellow Civil Corp. or its related companies in Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 2, 2026, may qualify to receive approximately $1,308.42 from a class action settlement.
Goodfellow Civil Corp. agreed to pay $2 million to settle a lawsuit alleging its job postings in Washington did not include required wage scales, salary ranges or general descriptions of benefits as mandated by state law.
Who are the class members?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They applied for employment in the state of Washington with any of the following companies between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 2, 2026:
- Goodfellow Civil Corp.
- Goodfellow Construction Inc.
- Goodfellow Bros. Constructors LLC
- Goodfellow Bros. Guam LLC
- Goodfellow Bros. LLC
- Goodfellow Equipment LLC
- Goodfellowbros. Palau Inc.
- Blasting Technology Inc.
- The job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation to be offered to a hired applicant.
How much are settlement payments
Pro rata cash payment: Eligible class members will receive an equal cash payment from the net settlement fund estimated at $1,308.42.
No claim form required
Eligible class members do not need to file a claim to receive a settlement payment.

Settlement fund breakdown
The $2,000,000 settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration costs: $25,000
- Attorneys' fees: $666,666.67
- Attorneys' expenses: $5,000
- Service award to class representative: $25,000
- Payments to eligible class members: Remaining settlement funds

When is the Goodfellow Civil Corp. job posting settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to eligible class members approximately 74 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged Goodfellow Civil Corp. and related entities violated Washington law by failing to include wage scales, salary ranges or general descriptions of benefits in job postings for positions in Washington. The company denied the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and cost of continued litigation.
