
Current and former patients of Columbus Regional Health who completed registration for access to their electronic records and logged into a patient portal account between Nov. 1, 2017, and June 30, 2022, may qualify to submit a claim for a cash payment of $25.50 and privacy monitoring from a class action settlement. The class includes 20,763 individuals.
Bartholomew County Public Hospital, d/b/a Columbus Regional Health, agreed to settle a class action lawsuit. The plaintiffs alleged the hospital disclosed confidential personally identifiable and protected health information to third parties using the Meta pixel and other tracking without patient consent.
Who can file a a claim for a website privacy payout?
Class members are current and former patients residing in Indiana who logged into a Columbia Regional Health patient portal account at least once between Nov. 1, 2017, and June 30, 2022.
How much are settlement payments?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a cash payment of $25.50.
- CyEx Privacy Shield Pro: All class members can enroll in one free year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro, which includes dark web scanning, compromised password scanning, a VPN, a password manager, other online privacy tools and access to fraud resolution agents if needed.

When is the Columbus Regional Health settlement payout date?
