Alamo Intermediate II Holdings LLC has agreed to pay $7,075,000 to settle a class action lawsuit that alleged the company did not properly disclose convenience fees for electronic ticket purchases on its website before tickets were selected, in violation of New York law.

Who is eligible for an Alamo Drafthouse class action payout?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

  • They purchased one or more electronic tickets to any film screening at an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema location in New York state.
  • The purchase was made through the Alamo Drafthouse website (www.drafthouse.com)
  • The purchase took place between Aug. 29, 2022, and Jan. 30, 2024
  • They paid a convenience fee in connection with the online movie ticket purchase

How much is the ticket fee settlement payment?

Pro rata cash payment: Each approved claimant will a pro rata cash payment based on the total amount of convenience fees paid. Final payment amount will be determined by the number of valid claims and the total fees paid by all claimants.

How to claim a class action rebate

To receive a settlement payment, a claim form must be submitted by Dec. 22, 2025. Class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to fill out and mail to the settlement administrator.
