What Happened?
IHRS discovered suspicious activity in its systems on Aug. 14, 2025. The organization quickly secured its systems and launched an investigation. The investigation revealed that between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14, 2025, an unauthorized actor gained access to certain IHRS systems, potentially accessing or taking sensitive information stored within those systems.
IHRS completed a thorough review of the affected files by Dec. 10, 2025, and began notifying impacted individuals. Written notice was sent to affected consumers on Feb. 11, 2026.
The company also reported the breach to the Maine Attorney General and the Massachusettes Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
