Flash Charm Inc., operating as Idera, is a software company based in Houston, Texas. Founded in 2000 by Tien Gah "Alan" Lee, the company originally focused on developer tools, including products like JSync.
Over the years, Idera expanded its business through a series of acquisitions, such as Precise Software, Embarcadero Technologies, Gurock, Sencha, BitTitan, Perspectium and Yellowfin. Idera provides business-to-business solutions for database management, application development, test management and DevOps.
What Happened?
On Oct. 31, 2025, Idera detected unauthorized access to a third-party file-hosting system.
The breach was limited to this system and did not extend to Idera’s products or other internal systems. Action was taken to contain the breach, notify federal law enforcement and engage leading forensic teams to investigate.
The investigation revealed that the breach occurred on Aug. 23, 2025, and affected the personal information of 2,015 individuals in the United States, including 606 in Texas, 36 in Massachusetts, and two in Maine.
Consumers were notified by U.S. mail on Feb. 26, 2026.

- Addresses
- Social Security numbers
- Driver’s license numbers
- Government-issued identification numbers (such as passport or state ID card numbers)
- Basic contact information
- Credit or debit card numbers
- Health insurance information
- Dates of birth
- Financial account numbers
