
AngMar Management Services, a privately held home health and hospice management company based in Mansfield, Texas, disclosed a data breach that may have exposed sensitive personal and medical information belonging to patients and other individuals.
Founded in 2000, AMS provides operational support for home health and hospice businesses, including back-office operations, clinical support, compliance and business development.
On July 20, 2026, AMS discovered unusual activity on its network. An unauthorized actor accessed or acquired certain information within AMS's computer environment on or around July 18, 2026.
Upon detecting unusual activity on its network, AMS took steps to secure its systems and engaged a third-party team of forensic investigators to determine the full nature and scope of the incident and assist in the response.
On Aug. 11, 2026, a ransomware group known as Interlock posted a claim on the dark web. The group stated it had obtained 710 GB of the organization's data.
Following the forensic investigation, AMS completed a comprehensive review of the affected data in order to determine which individuals were impacted.
The types of personally identifiable information (PII) exposed included first and last name, address, date of birth and Social Security number.
The breach also involved protected health information (PHI), including patient ID, medical record number, health insurance information, service date, diagnosis and condition information, provider name, prescription information and medical history information.
So far, the incident has impacted 35,916 Texas residents.
The company posted a notice about the incident on its website, as well as reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
AMS is offering affected individuals complimentary single bureau credit monitoring, credit report and credit score services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company. To enroll, individuals can visit the Cyberscout enrollment page and enter the unique code included in their notification letter.
Enrollment must be completed within 90 days of the date of the letter.
The company also recommended that affected individuals remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing their credit reports and account statements for suspicious activity.
