On Feb. 26, 2026, Flash Charm, Inc. dba Idera reported a data breach affecting 2,015 individuals in the United States, including 606 in Texas, 36 in Massachusetts, and two in Maine.

The company detected the unauthorized access on Oct. 31, 2025, and took steps to contain the incident, notify law enforcement, and engage forensic experts to investigate. The breach was limited to a third-party file-hosting system and did not extend to Idera’s products or other internal systems.

The exposed information includes a wide range of sensitive data: names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers (such as passports and state ID cards), basic contact details, credit or debit card numbers, health insurance information, financial account numbers and dates of birth.

The company filed disclosures with the California Attorney General, Maine Attorney General, Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, and Texas Attorney General. Notifications were sent to affected individuals via U.S. Mail on Feb. 26, 2026, in compliance with state laws.

Idera's response

To support those impacted, Idera is offering two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through IDX. These services include credit monitoring, up to $1 million in insurance reimbursement, identity restoration assistance, and dark web monitoring.

Affected individuals are encouraged to enroll in these services by May 26, 2026, using the instructions and enrollment code provided in their notification letter.

Given the nature of the breach, it is important for affected individuals to remain vigilant. Regularly monitoring financial accounts, reviewing credit reports, and considering placing fraud alerts or credit freezes with major credit bureaus are recommended steps.

The notification letter also provides detailed instructions on how to take these actions and where to seek additional help, including contact information for the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general.
