What Happened?

On Jan. 11, 2026, Global Consulting Services & Software Development discovered suspicious activity on its network. The company immediately launched an investigation, brought in third-party experts and took steps to contain the incident, including quarantining assets, disabling affected accounts and resetting passwords.

The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party gained access to a limited set of electronically stored personal information between Jan. 3, 2026, and Jan. 7, 2026. On May 12, 2026, the company determined that certain personal information was included in the data accessed during the breach. The company reported the breach to the Maine Attorney General’s office on May 18, 2026, and to the Vermont Attorney General’s office on May 19, 2026.

A total of 1,320 people in the United States were affected, including three in Maine and one in Vermont.
