
Global Consulting Services & Software Development, an IT consulting and software development company headquartered in Irvine, California, disclosed a data breach that affected 1,320 individuals in the United States.
The breach was reported to the Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont attorneys general starting on May 18, 2026. The company began notifying affected consumers by written letter on May 18, 2026.
Between Jan. 3 and Jan. 7, 2026, an unknown third party gained unauthorized access to a limited set of electronically stored personal information on the company's network. After the company was alerted to suspicious activity potentially affecting its network, it launched an investigation and engaged third-party cybersecurity experts.
As a result of the unauthorized access, the personal information exposed in the breach included names and Social Security numbers.
The company is offering affected individuals 24 months of free identity monitoring, fraud consultation and identity theft restoration services through Kroll.
The identity monitoring package includes triple bureau credit monitoring and unlimited access to Kroll fraud specialists.
To enroll in these services, affected individuals can visit Kroll's enrollment website and enter the membership number included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed before the deadline specified in each person's letter.
The company has also set up a toll-free call center to answer questions about the incident. Affected individuals can reach it at 844-576-3067, available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
