What Happened?

On Sept. 12, 2025, FirstFruits Farms discovered unusual activity within its computer systems. The company secured its environment and launched an investigation with cybersecurity experts, which concluded on Dec. 18, 2026.

The breach was reported to the Washington Attorney General's Office on Jan. 16, 2026. According to the official notice, 6,335 Washington residents were notified that their information may have been affected.

Posting on the dark web on Nov. 21, 2025, the cybercriminal group known as Akira claimed responsibility for the attack, claiming that they had obtained 26 GB of company data, including employee documents and customer data. Following the company investigation, it was confirmed that personal information may have been accessed.
