Dermatology Partners, a privately owned dermatology group practice with more than 30 offices across Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland, disclosed a data breach that may have exposed patient information at its Catonsville, Maryland, office earlier this year.
Between Feb. 27, 2026, and March 10, 2026, an unauthorized individual gained access to the data system at the Dermatology Partners Catonsville office.
The company stated that its investigation found no evidence that any data was actually copied or removed from the system during the period of unauthorized access. However, the company also acknowledged that it could not determine which specific patient records may have been viewed while the unauthorized individual had access to the system. Because of this uncertainty, Dermatology Partners notified all patients who had been seen at the Catonsville location.
The types of protected health information that may have been viewable during the incident include patient names, dates of birth, addresses, contact information, medical record numbers, dates of service, diagnosis and treatment information and potentially health insurance information.
The company posted a notice about the incident on its website on June 23, 2026. The total number of patients affected was not disclosed.
Patients who have questions about the incident or want to learn more about how it may affect them can contact Dermatology Partners by phone at 610-871-1816.
