Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged a targeted cyberattack in December 2024 allowed unauthorized access to files containing sensitive personal information Vector Security Inc. held. The plaintiffs claim the company failed to adequately protect this information.
Vector Security denies the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the expense and risk of further litigation.
