What Happened?
In early September 2025, Boyd Gaming discovered a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to its internal IT systems. The breach began on Sept. 5, 2025, and the last observed unauthorized activity occurred on Sept. 7, 2025. The company became aware of the incident on Sept. 6, 2025, and immediately launched an investigation with external cybersecurity experts and federal law enforcement.
The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party removed sensitive data from Boyd Gaming’s systems.
