What Happened?

In late December 2025, AAA Driver Training School was informed by its driving school software vendor that there had been unauthorized third-party access to systems containing student personal information.

The vendor took steps to end the unauthorized access and remediate the affected system.

In January 2026, the vendor identified the specific student data that was exposed. This incident only affected the AAA Northeast territory and did not impact other AAA Northeast information or payment card data.

The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on March 5, 2026. According to the disclosure, 25,247 individuals in Massachusetts alone were affected.
